The Palm z22 had networking removed for some reason that I don't even want to try and comprehend.  Although difficult to do so, I did find the files necessary to restore that function.  It might have been nice if Palm had provided the option.  I would have paid for it. But, alas, they did not.

I'm not sure about the legality of you downloading and installing this fix, so I provide these files for your interest only!

To place these in your Palm Desktop Quick Installer and Hotsync them to your pda would restore your networking capabilities, but Palm doesn't want you to.  So don't install them, whatever you do!  Just look at them and cry!

Files for networking Palm z22

Since Palm doesn't want you to network the z22, you won't be needing anything like the following:

Softick PPP for Palm Devices

And, of course, you certainly would not want to be able to sync your Palm z22 over a network connection, so there is no need for this either:

Home of the Synthesis SyncML client

I can vouch with full authority that this stuff all works perfectly well on at least one z22, with one WinXP box, and one Linux server (syncing with Horde).  The Horde Suite has some little bugs, but everything is transfered perfectly to the server box.

(I was just nearby and saw somebody else, that's all.)

So good luck with your NON-download and NON-install!
